Here is where the real power was!  We had our own big diesel powered generators.  It was always fun in the radar tower when the power house would shift over from one to another.  If they didn't get the phasing just right, BLAM!  Radar Down!  After awhile the switchovers were handled a lot better but at first.....

As I recall we had three generators for tech power (for the radars and such) and three or four more for base power.  Everything relied on these workhorse generators.
